About MMMUT Admission Test-2017 : The admissions in different undergraduate and post graduate programmes being offered in Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (formerly Madan Mohan Malaviya Engineering College), Gorakhpur shall be made through the admission test and counseling conducted under the supervision and control of the University Admission Committee (UAC).
The admissions shall be made in first year of the following courses offered at the University through Admission Test-2017 for the academic year 2017-18.

(APTITUDE TEST FOR MBA)

The test is aimed at evaluating the verbal ability, quantitative aptitude, logical and abstract reasoning and knowledge of current affairs. The following is a brief description of contents of the test paper.

Section-A (English Language): Grammar, vocabulary, uncommon words, sentence completion, synonyms, antonyms, relationship between words and phrases and comprehension of passages.

Section-B (Numerical Aptitude): Numerical calculation, arithmetic, simple algebra, geometry and trigonometry, Interpretation of graphs, charts and tables.

Section-C (Thinking and Decision Making): Creative thinking, unfamiliar relationships, verbal reasoning, finding patterns trends and Assessment of figures and diagrams.

Section-D (General Awareness): Knowledge of current affairs and other issues related to trade, industry, economy, sports, culture and science.

(APTITUDE TEST FOR MCA)

(i) MATHEMATICS

Modern Algebra: Idempotent law, identities, complementary laws, Demorgan’s theorem, mapping, inverse relation, equivalence relation, Piano’s Axiom, definition of rational numbers and integers through equivalence relation.

Algebra: Surds, solution of simultaneous and quadratic equations, arithmetic, geometric and harmonic progression, Binomial theorem for any index, logarithms, exponential and logarithmic series, determinants.

Probability: Definition, dependent and independent events, numerical problems on addition and multiplication of probability, theorems of probability.

Trigonometry: Simple identities, trigonometric equations, properties of triangles, use of mathematical tables, solution of triangles, height and distance, inverse functions, DeMoiver’s theorem.

Co-Ordinate Geometry: Co-ordinate geometry of the straight lines, pair of straight lines, circle, parabola, ellipse and hyperbola and their properties.

Calculus: Differentiation of function of functions, tangents and normal, simple examples of maxima of minima, limits of function, integration of function (by parts, by substitution and by partial fraction), definite integral (application to volumes and surfaces of frustums of sphere, cone and cylinder).

Vectors: Position vector, addition and subtraction of vectors, scalar and vector products and their applications.

Dynamics: Velocity, composition of velocity, relative velocity, acceleration, composition of acceleration, motion under gravity, projectiles, laws of motions, principles of conservation of momentum and energy, direct impact of smooth bodies, pulleys.

Statics: Composition of co-planar, concurrent and parallel forces, moments and couples, resultant of set of coplanar forces and conditions of equilibrium, determination of Centroides in simple case, problems involving friction.

(ii) STATISTICS

Theory of probability, Mean, Median, Mode, Dispersion and Standard Deviation.

(iii) LOGICAL ABILITY

Questions shall be set to test analytical and reasoning capability of candidates.

For admission to M.Tech. programmes, the admission test shall include objective type questions from general Engineering Aptitude consisting of Engineering Mechanics, Engineering Graphics, Basic Electrical Engineering, Basic Electronics Engineering, Basic Computer Science, Workshop practice, Basic Mechanical Engineering, Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics of Degree standard.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Driver & Fitter/PTR/Cobbler/Carpenter/Tailor/Brass Band/Pipe Band/Mali/Bugler → 05 Kms race to be completed in 24 minutes by male candidates and 1.6 Kilometer race by female candidates during 08.30 minutes. For the Ladakh region, PET will comprise of 1 mile race(for male) and 800 meters (for female) to be completed within 06.30 minutes and 04 minutes respectively.

For Other posts → 1.6 Kms race to be completed within 10 minutes by male candidates and 12 minutes by female candidate.

Written Test

Exam Pattern : Exam Pattern for the Constable Tradesman written Exam is as Follows :-

  1. The written test will be conducted on OMR basis.
  2. The time duration will be 02:00 hours (120 minutes).
  3. The written test will be of 100 marks consisting of two parts, i.e., Part-I – Knowledge expected from a Class 10th pass candidates and Part-II relating to knowledge of the Trade.
  4. Each part of Question Paper will consist of 50 objective type multiple choice questions carrying 01 mark each. Cut off marks for written examination will be 35% for General and Ex-Servicemen and 33% for SC/ST/OBC candidate.
  5. The questions will be set both in Hindi and English. Candidates will have the option to answer either in Hindi or English.

General Awareness/Knowledge : History, Geography and Socio Economic development of India. Knowledge of current events of National and International importance and such matters of every day observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific subject. Paper will also include questions on Modern History (From 1857 onwards) of India, Indian culture, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Geography of India.

Knowledge of elementary Mathematics : The test of Arithmetical and Numerical abilities will cover Number Systems including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs, etc.

Reasoning Ability : It will include the question of both verbal and non-verbal type. Question will be asked from analogies, similarities and and differences, problem solving, relationship, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions, Venn diagrams, relationship concepts and Ability to observe and distinguish patterns etc.

General Hindi/English : Candidates’ ability to understand correct English, his basic comprehension and writing ability, etc. would be tested. Questions will be asked from error recognition, fill in the blanks (using verbs, preposition, articles etc), Vocabulary, Spellings, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Completion, Phrases and Idiomatic use of Words, etc.

Trade/Profession Related : Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions on the subject concerned as per the qualification prescribed in the Recruitment Rules and related to the trade/profession under the several posts.

Trade Test

Trade test/practical assessment to be done in two events as subjective and objective i.e. practical assessment and written skill, which will be qualifying in nature. Out of 50 marks for practical Trade Test, a candidate must secure 20 marks to qualify. The details are as under :

For the selection of these posts Chandigarh Police will conduct various tests i.e. physical test, written tests. At first Physical Test (PE & MT) will be conducted in upcoming dates.

Chandigarh Police Constable Physical Test Date → February, 2017

The schedule for PE&MT will be available on the official website of Chandigarh Police www.chandigarhpolice.nic.in in the month of February-2017. The candidates are advised to check the schedule of PE & MT in Februray-2017. No separate intimation regarding PE&MT will be sent to individual candidates.

Admit Card → The completed form will serve as ‘Admit Card’ for the Physical Endurance & Measurement Test (PE&MT) and no separate admit cards will be issued or sent to the candidates. In case of lost, misplaced or damaged PE&MT admit cards, a copy will be provided at the help desk on the day of the PE&MT on a nominal payment of Rs. 50/-. Those who qualify the PE&MT will be Issued fresh admit cards for the written examination on the same day at the venue of the PE&MT itself.

Indian Bank had invited application for admission to the one year Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance (PGDBF) course at Indian Bank Manipal School of Banking (IBMSB). They will focus on understanding the characteristics, needs and psychology of diverse learners, interaction with learners and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.

Language I & II:- Questions will be asked form Comprehension & Pedagogy of Language Development.

Mathematics:- Syllabus for Mathematics of Paper-I & II is different. There is also difference in level of Questions asked in the exam.
